DIAVOLO ROSSO - never follow... CD PK 40
So here it finally is. The debut CD of those 5 sparkling, good looking - no more so young - men from Karlsruhe/Mannheim-area in germany (ex-almost everything ... luzifers mob, dead beat, stack, fear is the path to the dark side ...) Formed in ´96, with a short break, they're back in the line up of the "legendary" DemoTape and recorded these 14 tracks of thrashy, melodic, pissed off rocking HC/PUNK with P.P.C. lyrics (political, personal, cynical). This is the most innovative thing that happened to mankind since wet toilet paper and this is taking a piss on loserbands like early POISON IDEA, early R.K.L. and others (forgive me, holy Pig Champion, for that I have sinned ... please don't sit on my face! No!) Crushing artwork, real good studio recording, and guided by the spirit of the 80-ies, but dusted-off! So do yourself a favour and swallow this pill of raging HC/PUNK!

BLINDSPOT A.D. - knowledge vs. fear CD PK 39
After 8 years struggling in the german underground and releasing a couple of tapes, CDR´s, compilation-tracks, split 7“s and an outstanding 7“ep entitled „pain is not the cleanser“ – it was worth waiting for the debut full-length of this south german grind-force!!! BLINDSPOT A.D. improved within the last years and have found an unique heavy sound hardly compareable to any other band. The mixture makes this 37 min-utes lasting mayhem so special: Intense chaotic hardcore elements team up with sheer deathmetal brutality - dark emotional melodies collapse with blasting grindcore. You can feel the hate and anger which is conveyed through the apocalyptic and mis-anthropic but political aware lyrics screamed out on top of it! Packed in an eyecatch-ing artwork done by André Liegl, the sound quality of this 13 songs will blow you a-way – engineered by Bernhard Hahn (Dawnbreed, Mine, Atrocity, Fear MyThoughts..) and finally mastered at Morrisound Recordings, which is famous for the work they have done in the 90ies – you can call this a fat production!

NARZISS - die hoffnung stirbt zuletzt CD PK 38,5
Fast, heavy, playful, heartbreaking are just some words that can be used to describe the sound, the message, and the incredible power of NARZISS. It's probably the first time you might think that the most important thing about NARZISS are their (German) lyrics. But after listening to these 9 songs you'll realize that there are a lot of other things that make NARZISS a unique band. Typical for the NARZISS-sound are openly played melodies, fast drum parts that change into a heavy groove. The vocals are screamed aggressively, but without losing their delicacy. This CD might remind you on Loxiran, Caliban or Aclys. NARZISS are influenced by all three, but they still have their own sound and style. This album is the follow-up of their MCD "Ebenbilder", which they produced in the DIY way. If you know this release you will probably find less similari-ties between both recordings. Don't worry about that, sometimes things have to change to the positive!

INANE - kill'em and grill'em CD PK 37
Well, it took some doing before this little bastard was finally born. 19 songs, over 30 minutes, spit out in best DEATH N' ROLL tradition. The songs are more individual, technically improved, and complex than the "Zeitraffer" LP, without losing it's brutal-ity, power, and intensity. Hellishly grunted vocals, cool death metal riffs and a profes-sional production, which reminds on Systral and Morser, make this record one of a kind. "Provocation is the Law & Key" - the lyrics though are anything else but PC - sheer provocation and therefore quite an unusual Per Koro release! Nothing burns more in your ears than this brutal inferno - 666 Death N' Roll cliché newly defined!

SIX REASONS TO KILL / ABSIDIA - split CD PK 036,5
Like a golem made out of clay, these new ABSIDIA songs turn into an uncontrolable monster, gaining more and more power, raging, defacing, killing, devastating. But un-like the golem, these songs will endure... ABSIDIA combine profound emotions and pure violence, heart-breaking melodies and mind-grinding mosh, god-given life and soulripping death! These guys manage to melt the misanthropic malice of mighty Car-cass and the high speed impact of At The Gates to a homogeneous piece of metal, perfectly produced by Sir Dirk Kusche (Mörser, Systral, Acme...).
SIX REASONS TO KILL return with a 4 song masterpiece of brutality and heaviness. Bulldozer-riffings and a wall of brutality and heaviness show the bands consequent process in songwriting and performing as a band. Their follow up to "kiss the demon" supprises with even more energy, power and groove, which normally bands like Bolt Thrower use to have. FEEL FREE TO DIE!!

FORCED TO DECAY - s/t CD PK 036
The third and selftitled release by Germany's FORCED TO DECAY is a hearty "Fuck You" in the face of bands that call themselves heavy, hardcore or alternative but play for a mainstream target-group. Known for their aggressive mixture of Grind, Emo and Metal, this six-piece is not a band for the weak at heart but a "tour-de-force" for con-noisseurs of brutal music. The sheer power of their guitar-avalanche will leave you stunned, before their emo-tional and calm melodies will give you time to breath, until a voice straight out of your wildest nightmares takes you back to the dark side of life. Even more than on their previous two outputs, they have managed to create a pro-gressive but always comprehensible album.Strengthened by a new drummer, the band has recorded 10 songs and 40 minutes full of anger, aggression and depressive moments for this brutal masterpiece, including a tribute to the late godfather of Punk, Joey Ramone.

TIDAL - moment CD PK 035
Whatever you're going to call these 7 songs, it will be anything but average. This is not just another trendy emo-screamo-hardcore band. El colectivo TIDAL manages to ban 30 minutes of music on this disc in a blend so unique and touching that you can't just ignore it. The mixture makes this so special. Calm parts reminding of lying on a lonely beach in the Caribbean are interrupted by nervously driving riffs, and from time to time the vocalist starts to sing and the guitars play melodies so urgent and touch-ing that you'll be left entirely stripped and exhausted after listening. All bands you could come up with as comparisons could never even closely describe the complex-ity of this piece of music. That said, if you like the bands that created the genre of Emo-HC in the mid 90s, and those with the Spock haircuts, you shall like this too. This is a promise!!

ABSIDIA - written in minor key CD PK 034
May I introduce you: ABSIDIA, the metallords of our all future. With their first output these nice swedish, ääähhh southern German guys, celebrate a ceremony in black that won't fade unheard. Highly technical guitar-riffs, joined by "thrash-to-slo-mo-to-doublebass-gallore-drums" are completed with a singer that screams on top of his guts. The melodic result is rounded off with a few accoustic parts and slowing break-downs that will definitely touch your heart. Lyricalwise Absidia covers personal as well as political issues, well written with a fine sense for passion. So if you long for metal that still manages to contrast with most of the contemporary metalcore releas-es, this one might satisfy your desire...

COSTA'S CAKE HOUSE - s/t MCD PK 033,5
Despite the "funny" sounding name, these guys take no prisoners. Politically motiva-ted lyrics coalesce with serious fury, geniune rage and anger celebrated with heartfelt passion and true power AND violence. Not unlike Morser, COSTA'S CAKE HOUSE also use the instrumentation of two basses, The Swarm, Acrid or Unruh these kids from Karlsruhe and the Black Forest take on straight brutal metal, mayhemic mosh galore and ballistic blast beat drumming. The CD presents 6 songs and showcase the bands great improvement to their previous outtakes.

MAN VS. HUMANITY / BURY ME STANDING split 7" PK 032
BURY ME STANDING: Hailing from the USA (Tuscon, Az) comes this awesome band; which carrying on the tradition of politically motivated bands. B.M.S. play tech-nical metalcore with emo influences, sometimes straight on metal, sometimes in a chaotic emo vein. Think of earlier Cave In regarding the metal, Unbroken when it co-mes to mosh, and Grade concerning melodic and heavy rocking Emo.
MAN VS. HUMANITY: German hardcore is on the rise again. Once more one new highly recommend full flamming song from the southern depts. M.vsH. absolutely fit into that hectic chaos metal type thing along the lines of Coalesce, Converge with more mosh here and there; even more extreme and varrying than on their amazing Split and debut 7". The second song is a techno remix, with soundcapes & beats = sounds really interesting. A fat production and an awesome outstanding cover/booklet (done by André Liegl) of course.

ACLYS - liedergeburt LP PK 031
The highly anticipated second ACLYS full length, which is definitely worth the wait. This isn’t completely different than what you would expect after the song from the "The Seed Of The Next Season" compilation. The song on the sampler was just a try to do something different and new. ACLYS shows it talent on this output again. 10 new highly intense, fast and energy bursting metalcore songs with a desperate emo-tional element as usual and as an extra punch you’ll get one own done metal-homage song to kick out the jam as well. Screamed vocals, highly acclaimed technical guitar/ bass and drum work in the way you’ll love it, if you’re into their older stuff. A fat & great production and amazing artwork as well.
